To ask the Secretary of State for Transport when he expects to make an announcement regarding the A590 Dalton-in-Furness bypass.

§ Mr. Atkins
The inspector's report on the public inquiry is expected shortly. An announcement will be made as soon as my right hon. Friends the Secretaries of State for Transport and for the Environment have considered it.
