To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland how many people have died from AIDS in Scotland in the last three years.

The numbers of deaths in Scotland from AIDS reported to the communicable diseases (Scotland) unit in each of the last three years are as follows:

According to the latest available returns made to the communicable diseases (Scotland) unit there were 62 AIDS cases in Scotland at 31 October 1989.
