§ Mr. Martin RedmondTo ask the Secretary of State for Social Security if he will list by social security offices in(a) Doncaster and (b) Wath-on-Dearne, the number of social fund applications that remained unprocessed at the end of the financial year 1988–89, the number that are currently awaiting determination, and the underspend at each office in 1988–89.
§ Mrs. Gillian ShephardPart-time workers who earn above the lower earnings limit, currently £43 per week, are already included in national insurance on the same basis as full-time employees. We have no current plans to introduce legislation to extend national insurance to those who earn less than the lower earnings limit.
