To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if the Australian Government have sought any financial compensation from the United Kingdom to offset payments they agreed to make, on 4 September, to Australian service men contaminated by radioactive fallout from United Kingdom nuclear weapons tested in Australia in the 1950s.

We have not received any such request from the Australian Federal Government, nor would we expect to do so.
