§ Mr. ForthDetailed decisions about the nature and extent of the post office network are an operational matter for the Post Office. However, I understand that it plans to convert to agency status one Crown office in Kemptown, Brighton and two further Crown offices at Polegate and Hove in East Sussex. They will continue to handle the full range of transactions currently carried out by Crown offices. It has no plans to reduce the number of outlets in Brighton or East Sussex.
