To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list in theOfficial Report the total moneys received by the Scottish Office from the European regional development fund in each of the past five years; and what percentage of these was spent on road improvements, listing the projects completed and projects currently under construction.

Some £109 million, almost 25 per cent., of the awards have been for road improvements and new construction. It is not feasible to list all 250-plus roads projects but some significant examples are:
