§ 17. Mr. KennedyTo ask the Secretary of State for Health to what extent the pharmaceutical industry contributes to the financing of the Medical Control Agency.
§ Mr. MellorFrom I April 1989 the full cost of the Medicines Control Agency work is to be funded by the pharmaceutical industry, save for the costs of the work of the British Pharmacopoeia Commission whose staff are provided by the agency, the cost of NHS inspection work and certain other minor matters. Payment will be made through licence and inspection fees.
