HC Deb 15 May 1989 vol 153 c99W
Mr. Beggs

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps have been taken by the Metropolitan police to arrest and prosecute the persons referred to in the House of LordsHansard, 4 April, column 1003, who threatened violence against London Transport unless posters advertising holidays in northern Cyprus were withdrawn.

The Metropolitan police have not been asked to undertake any investigations into this matter. The policing of London Transport is a matter for the British Transport police, who are the responsibility of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Transport.
