Mrs. Beckett

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Security whether he will publish a table showing the number of appeals heard by social security appeal tribunals and the number decided in the claimant's favour, the number decided in favour of the adjudication officer and the number adjourned in each quarter of 1988, broken down by subject of appeal.

The latest national administrative statistics available on social security appeal tribunals relate to appeals heard in the third quarter of 1988. Information is provided in the tables for the quarters ending March, June and September 1988.
