§ Mr. McLeishTo ask the Secretary of State for Wales what was(a) the number of applications for regional selective assistance received between 1 April 1988 and 31 March 1989, (b) the number of the above applications that have been processed and (c) the total amount of money paid out in that period.
§ Mr. Peter WalkerTwo hundred and sixty-five applications for regional selective assistance grants were received by my Department and 202 of these processed in the period from 1 April 1988 to 31 March 1989. The total amount of grant paid out over the same period was £36.2 million1.
