§ Mr. ChopeThe market value of land for housing in the Cambridge area is estimated to be around £650,000 an acre depending on size, location and planning constraints. The 1,100 staff at Brooklands avenue occupy about 175,000 sq ft of office and circulation space, an average of 159 sq ft each. These staff, like all civil servants throughout the country, are accommodated in accordance with nationally agreed space standards.
