§ Mr. Michael MorrisTo ask the Secretary of State for Health whether the cost of providing computer systems to(a) hospitals and (b) general practitioners to enable them to implement the National Health Service White Paper proposals will be found from additional Treasury funding or whether it will be deducted from current National Health Service provision.
§ Mr. MellorThe Government have made it clear that the cost of implementing the White Paper proposals will not be met at the expense of plans for patient care.
