To ask the Lord President of the Council (1) what security checks were instituted in the case of Mr. Michael Middleton, employee of Messrs. Kingfisher of Ferndown, Dorset, in the case of his access to the House of Commons for the purpose of delivering food provisions;

(2) whether he will list the categories of convictions which preclude a person from receiving (a) a day pass or (b) other passes authorising access to the House of Commons.
