The estimated number of contracted hours of duty of junior hospital doctors in Scotland was 86.1 as at 30 September 1988. The 1988 data for Greater Glasgow, Lanarkshire and Forth Valley health boards are not yet available; 1987 data for these boards have therefore been included in the calculation of this average.
