§ Mr. MellorThe most recent meeting on this subject between the Department and representatives of the Royal National Institute for the Deaf was at official level and took place on 25 November 1988. The then Minister of State for Health—my right hon. Friend the Member for Braintree (Mr. Newton)—and my hon. Friend the Minister for the Disabled met representatives of the institute on 29 June 1988 to discuss their views on audiology services.
