§ The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (Baroness Trumpington)Salmonella isolations, which are required to be reported under the recently re-enacted Zoonoses Order 1989, are rare in quails or their eggs, the most recent such isolation having been reported in May 1987.
