§ Mr. WinnickTo ask the Prime Minister on how many occasions since May 1979 she has travelled by rail in the United Kingdom while carrying out official duties; and what are the considerations taken into account when deciding what form of transport is to be used when travelling outside London.
§ The Prime MinisterI regret that for reasons of practicality and security it is difficult for me to travel by rail on official business. I do so when a suitable opportunity arises, the last being in February 1987.
