Mr. Redmond

To ask the Secretary of State for Defence (1) what are the current plans for the war headquarters of the Army's United Kingdom land forces command at Hawthorn, Wiltshire; what ranks of people and personnel will be stationed there; and if he will make a statement;

(2) what are the plans for the war headquarters of the Army's United Kingdom land forces command at Sopley, Hampshire; and if he will make a statement.

The headquarters of United Kingdom land forces is at Wilton. It is not our practice to comment on the existence or otherwise of particular contingency plans relating to the outbreak of hostilities.
