§ Mr. RentonAny substantial increase in immigration to this country would of course present major problems. However, the uncertainties facing the people of Hong Kong are well known. In the light of the recent events in China, we are therefore considering what changes are called for in the immigration arrangements as they relate to British dependent territory citizens in Hong Kong. We shall bring forward proposals in due course.
