HL Deb 13 June 1989 vol 508 c1410WA
Lord Kilmarnock

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they have considered, as part of their review of homelessness legislation, the needs of people with HIV infection or AIDS who are homeless or threatened with homelessness; and whether they propose to amend the relevant legislation, or to issue further guidance, to ensure that local authorities treat such people as having a priority need for accommodation.

The Minister of State, Department of the Environment (The Earl of Caithness)

The current review is considering all aspects of the legislation, including the categories of priority need. The review is not yet complete. There will be consultation on any proposed legislative changes.
