To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he will make a statement on progress with MARILYN.

I refer my hon. Friend to the statement I made in the House on 8 June at columns 388–90, in which I announced that copies of an abridged version of the MARILYN report, which will underpin much of the Ministry of Defence's future work on the problems of army manpower supply in the years ahead, had been placed in the Library of the House.
