§ Mr. Douglas HoggAuthority has recently been given for an increase averaging 4.5 per cent. in the basic rates 325W payable to school crossing patrols with effect from 1 September 1988. I understand from the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis that the new rates of pay (including the arrears) will be paid from the middle of this month.
