There are now some 41,000 Vietnamese boat people in Hong Kong. Over 12,000 have arrived in the past month. The Government are doing everything222W possible to help the Hong Kong authorities to cope with the influx. We are working for a successful outcome to the international conference on indo-Chinese refugees in Geneva on 13–14 June and for a comprehensive and durable solution to the problem.
