§ Mr. LangThe output-based estimates of Scotland's gross domestic product show that between 1986 and 1987 Scotland's economy grew by 2.4 per cent. Later information is available only for the output of the production and construction industries which grew by 5.8 per cent. between 1987 and 1988, the fastest rate of growth since 1973.
