To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will make a statement on the repayment of the public sector debt held by foreign-owned institutions.

It is not possible to provide the information requested. However, table 8 of the Bank of EnglandQuarterly Bulletin and table 2.6 of Financial Statistics show transactions in marketable Government debt by the overseas sector.
