To ask the Secretary of State for Wales whether he has any plans to extend the M54 to Welshpool or Newtown.

No, but there are substantial improvements in preparation to trunk roads on both sides of the border as indicated in "Roads in Wales 1989" and in "Policy for Roads in England 1987".
