To ask the Secretary of State for Wales (1) if he will list the infertility services provided by each district health authority;

(2) what is the prevalence of infertility in Wales.

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales whether plans for the provision of infertility services are required to be included in the strategic plans of each district health authority.

Mr. Grist

There is no such requirement, though in drawing up strategic plans district health authorities are expected to assess likely developments in, and the need for services of this kind, and to make provision for them as appropriate.
