HC Deb 27 July 1989 vol 157 c942W
Dr. Glyn

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what steps he has taken to ensure that the relaxation of standards for discharged effluent, proposed by Thames water authority, for the Maidenhead sewage plant, is adequate in terms of public health standards; and how long he anticipates this temporary relaxation will continue before being replaced by permanent measures.

Mr. Howard

I will write to my hon. Friend.
