To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food whether the agricultural industry has shown itself willing to finance near-market research work at the Liscombe experimental husbandry farm.

Yes. As explained in a reply on 10 July to my hon. Friend the Member for Daventry (Mr. Boswell), a local industry consortium has secured a significant level of commitments to fund a programme of near-market research and development at Liscombe experimental husbandry farm.
