§ Mr. NichollsIt was announced in another place on 14 July, during the Second Reading debate on the Employment Bill, that the Government intend to introduce a new clause to the Bill to exempt turban-wearing Sikhs from any statutory requirement to wear head protection in construction work. There are no plans to extend such an exemption to other industries at present.
