To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will list by year for the last 10 years, the tonnage level of purchases from(a) British Coal and (b) other sources of coal suppliers for use at power stations to be allocated to (i) National Power and (ii) Power Gen.

Deliveries of coal to individual power stations are a matter for the CEGB. I will ask the chairman to write to the hon. Member.
