§ Mr. FreemanThere is no statutory control over private ambulances or private ambulance operators who are free to operate subject to the provisions of common law and traffic legislation. The onus is on those buying private ambulance services to ensure that they are able to provide the appropriate facilities and staff to meet the standards required.
