§ Mr. Luce[holding answer 14 July 1989]: I met the director of the Horniman museum on 10 July and had a useful and informative discussion on the future of the museum. I was pleased to hear of progress achieved so far and asked to be kept in touch with developments in the transition to independent charitable status. The director is aware that the level of resources for the museum will be decided later in the year alongside OAL's other client institutions. The museum will naturally be encouraged to take full advantage of all sources of funding available to charitable institutions.
