HC Deb 21 July 1989 vol 157 c416W
Mr. Sillars

To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is his estimate of the yield in the current year by way of tax on alcohol from Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland, respectively; and if he will express the Scottish figures as a percentage of the United Kingdom total.

Mr. Lilley

The forecast yield from excise and value added tax on alcohol for the United Kingdom in 1989–90 is £7.3 billion. A regional breakdown of receipts is not available.
