§ Mr. NewtonI announced to the House on 7 June that elements of the proposed remedial package not yet implemented, including designation of an enterprise zone, would be held in abeyance until decisions had been taken about the expressions of interest in NESL. The Tyne and Wear urban development corporation was informed the same day.
