§ Mr. Clay
To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster on what date the Government formally decided to wind up British Shipbuilders Ltd. as a publicly owned corporation.

§ Mr. Newton
The Government decided to proceed with the disposal of British Shipbuilders' remaining facilities in April 1988. There are no plans at present to bring before the House proposals for legislation to wind up British Shipbuilders as a public corporation.
