Mr. Kirkwood

To ask the Secretary of State for Health if he will list in theOfficial Report the amounts of (a) Government and (b) non-Government investment in AIDS research over the latest period for which figures are available.

The Government have allocated the following sums for AIDS research since 1984:

1988–89 13.95

We do not hold information about non-Government investment in AIDS research.
