§ 21. Mr. KeyTo ask the Secretary of State for Employment whether he has any evidence of discrimination in the workplace against persons who are HIV positive; and if he will make a statement.
§ Mr. NichollsThere is little significant evidence available, but my right hon. Friend is concerned about any unjustified workplace discrimination. In most occupations there is no risk of infected persons passing HIV to others. There is no justification for employers to treat people who are HIV-positive differently from other employees or job applicants.
