To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what consequences are envisaged for the Scottish tourist board as the result of the announcements contained in the reply to the hon. Member for Birmingham, Yardley (Mr. Bevan) by the right hon. Member for Sutton Coldfield (Mr. Fowler) on 6 July,Official Report, column 278; and if he will make a statement.

No changes are envisaged. I am satisfied that the means by which Government support is delivered to the Scottish tourist industry remain relevant and effective.
