§ Mr. Tom ClarkeTo ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs in what ways Her Majesty's Government are encouraging the countries of central America to resolve their problems within the framework of the Esquipulas II peace process.
§ Mr. EggarWe have consistently supported efforts to promote a peaceful negotiated settlement to the various conflicts in central America, and in all our bilateral and multilateral contacts with the Governments involved we urge the need for full implementation of the Esquipulas II and subsequent agreements. We also take an active part in the efforts of the Twelve to encourage dialogue and regional integration.
