To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what progress has been made in the installation of crash barriers on Scottish dual carriageways.

By the end of this financial year at least 90 km, 39 per cent., of the trunk road motorway network and 143 km, 33 per cent., of trunk road dual carriageways will be equipped with central reserve safety fences or will not require such provision due to the wide separation of the carriageways.
