To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations he has received regarding a pay settlement for university lecturers.

The Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Principals and the Association of University Teachers are discussing university lecturers' pay with each other: since last April, my right hon. Friend has received just over 200 letters on the topic.
