To ask the Secretary of State for Energy if he will make a statement on progress with the neighbourhood energy action community insulation programme.

In the current financial year to end December an estimated 105,000 homes have been insulated by community insulation projects, bringing the total number of homes insulated under this programme to more than 580,000. As my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Energy informed the House on 13 January at column772, uptake of places for unemployed people has been slow under employment training. My Department is therefore in discussion with the Training Agency on initiatives to increase the number of filled places.
