§ Mr. PortilloI understand from London Underground Ltd. that the London fire brigade has been called out to King's Cross station on 53 occasions since 18 November 1987. In eight cases the fire brigade dealt with a fire or smoke incident, 28 incidents were dealt with by London Underground staff before the fire brigade arrived and in the remainder the fire brigade found no trace of fire or smoke.
