§ Mr. CartwrightTo ask the Secretary of State for Defence what are the numbers of military aircraft destroyed or severely damaged by accident during each of the last 10 years for which figures are available, indicating the aircraft types involved.
§ Mr. NeubertI refer the hon. Member to the annual statements on the defence Estimates (SDE) which since 1980 have published such information about accidents to aircraft of the three services. The relevant information for 1988 is as follows:
