§ Mr. SainsburyThe new warrior vehicle currently being purchased is an armoured infantry fighting vehicle, sometimes also known as a mechanised infantry combat vehicle. The first battalion's worth of vehicles entered service in 1988 and, on current plans, a total of 13 battalions will eventually be equipped with Warrior.
