To ask the Secretary of State for Health what progress he has made in reducing hospital waiting lists in the Yorkshire region.

§ Mr. Freeman
The most recent figures show that, at March 1988, there were 49,000 patients on the in-patient waiting list in Yorkshire region. This is over 8 per cent. lower than at March 1979.
