§ Mr. ScottThe average time taken to decide new claims is currently 7.5 weeks. In the 12 months to 31 December 1988, some 56,000 decisions on new claims were reviewed. The average time taken to process a review is currently 13.3 weeks. Information about the maximum times for deciding claims of processing reviews is not available.
