To ask the Lord President of the Council how many debates were held following recommendations of the Select Committee on European Legislation on the Floor of the House in the last Session of Parliament.

In 1987–88, 29 debates were held on the Floor of the House, covering 84 documents, in addition to 15 debates in Standing Committee, covering 31 documents.
