To ask the Secretary of State for Wales how many meetings of the Council of Ministers a Welsh Office Minister has attended since 1979; and which Councils they were.

It has not been the normal practice of Welsh Office Ministers to attend meetings of the European Council of Ministers since or before 1979. They have, of course, frequently met members of the European Commission since 1979 to discuss issues of importance to Wales.
